My New Year Post!!

Actually, I'll start with a normal post, because who really wants to know what happened to Midnight's life the past decade and what her new year resolutions are right?

Two days before New Year, the L kids were wandering around city after a yum cha session at Regal. The usual spot: Capitol Square and its crane machines.

Saw these tiny little Domo-turds ^^'' quite cute, but didn't get one cos we saw this other kid playing and it was quite a dodgy machine.

I did manage to win a pink hello kitty from this machine for my sister, after.. 9 tries or so. No, I didn't try 9 times, about 5 maybe?

This one was probably cuter, but my sister wanted the other one cos it's the 35th anniversay hello kitty doll. Guess we have to go back and get her the 36th one this year sometime.

We then headed over to the Lindt cafe at Darling Harbour.

They had a special going on for Afternoon Tea, free hot drink with any cake purchase.

So we each ordered a cake and had a free hot chocolate!

All had dark chocolate except tt =P as if get a milk chocolate!!

I still think Lindt has one of the best hot chocolates. Well, maybe not better than Adriano Zumbo's hot chocolate, but still, one of the better ones. I'm not too fond of Max Brenna's hot chocolate. San Churros has quite a good one, but Lindt's chocolate is really really smooth, and the fact that it's liquid chocolate with hot milk, you can mix it in as heavy or as light as you like it. I tend to mix a light cup of hot chocolate, and then my second cup will be really really dark =)

New Year's Eve saw me and my sister sitting on the living room carpet, piecing together this Shirakawago puzzle which tt got for my birthday ages ago =P Initially, we wanted to finish it before it hit new year, but then...

We only finished it today- New Year's Day, at around 4pm or so. It took forever, but we're proud of ourselves! =) Thank God my sister came back and helped me, or who knows when I'll ever get around to finishing this by myself. It's definitely a lot more fun to have someone else doing a puzzle with you. I started this puzzle by myself a few months ago, but never got more than 1/4 way through... =( it feels sad doing puzzles by yourself!

Self rantings:

It's actually been quite a fun year, 2009. I should really say it's been a fun decade, since this is actually the first decade of my life that I can fully remember. 2000 was such a big thing, with the whole Y2K bug issue, and the big turn of the millenium. It was, I think, the second year we came to Sydney, so it's been more than 10 years~ finished high school, finished uni within these 10 years, got my first job, got my second and third job, been through a few volunteer jobs, visited a few places- Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong... got into my Master course... made new friends, found my red string attached to someone's pinkie... so it's like the second phase of my life had slowly gone by and at the turn of a new decade, starts my third phase, which is the finishing-Master-and-finding-a-career decade.

Resolution this year? *incoherant mumblings* yup, those are my resolutions =) Happy New Year!! =D
